Questions
Is this actually psychoactive?
Yes. Three to five words with The Permanent — a verse — puts about 10 mg on the paper. The same verse in No. 2 is about a milligram, and a full small page in No. 2 gets you back to ten. Burning it costs you some: figure a third to a half makes it through the smoke. A blank page is nothing at all.
Why is the fine pen weaker if its ink is stronger?
Because a chisel nib lays down twenty-one times more ink for the same three words. The broad pen carries the thinner ink and still doses ten times higher. That's not a flaw in the fine pen — it's what makes it the one you can measure with.
How do I know how much I'm taking?
Count verses. One in The Permanent is the reference. Onset is minutes, so you're never guessing for an hour the way you are with an edible — write one, wait ten, write another if the moment's asking for it.
Can I write on my own papers?
Write on anything that burns clean. Your papers, a wrap, a cigarette, a blunt. The notebooks exist because we wanted the paper to be part of the ritual, not because the pen is picky.
Does it taste like anything?
No, and that's on purpose. The whole point is that it doesn't get in the way.
How many pages does a pen do?
No. 2 holds about five hundred verses — call it forty-eight fully written leaves. The Permanent holds about fifty. Both pens carry roughly the same amount. The difference isn't how much is in there, it's how fast you can spend it.
Do the colors do different things?
Chemically, no. Ceremonially, entirely. That's why they're named the way they are.
Why is the pen empty?
Because the ink is the part that runs out and the pen isn't. Buy the housing once, buy cartridges forever, change color whenever the asking changes. It also means we can make the pen in forms that have nothing to do with how ink works — which we intend to.
How do I change a color?
Unscrew the barrel, pull the old cartridge, drop the new one in. Ten seconds. Nothing leaks, nothing needs cleaning, and you can keep a spare in your pocket without it being a whole situation.
Do the housings ever run out?
No. That's the point of them.
Why only fourteen?
Because these are the ones we can make out of the plant. Every pigment here is pressed from cannabis — the purples and reds are one anthocyanin moved across seven degrees of acid, the greens and yellows come out of the leaf. Nothing synthetic, nothing mined, no metals. A smaller chart, but every color on it grew.
When does it ship?
The founding batch goes out in waves. You'll get a date before we take a cent.
Where do you ship?
Where it's legal. We'll tell you at checkout if that isn't you, and we won't take your money first.
Is this a joke?
Half. The good half is not.
